| | This is a step-by-step instruction in downloading and installing the Adobe Reader on your computer.
Please notice that Adobe at the moment recommends Adobe Acrobat Reader version 5 for Windows 98 first version. It is however possible to use version 6 on Windows 98 and please note that we highly recommend this version.
1. Go to the download page
The URL http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html will get you to the main download page for the Adobe Reader.
On this page you will find the first step as shown here:
2. Complete the form
Choose which language you will prefer, choose platform and connection type. When you have completed this form, Step 2 will be available for you:
3. Perform the download
Press the download button and choose where you want the small install file in your file system:
After the download, start the install file by dubbleclicking it which will start the main download and program installation:
4. Install Adobe Reader
The Adobe Reader program is now ready to be installed:
Press Next a couple of times and choose the destination folder where you would like Adobe Reader to be installed:
Press Next and press Install which will install the program on your computer:
When the installation of Adobe Reader is completed - you must restart your computer:
